Here is something a little different.

I decided to illustrate this subject using a lighter, more animated look. This is a slight departure from my usual, more detailed style.

You will also find additional pieces of my work utilizing this style throughout the gallery. I use it to occasionally loosen up my technique and I find that I can produce my work faster using this more "cartoony" style.

This was originally designed as a poster for Wizard World/Chicago 2006. I have been wanting to do a piece on filmaker/comic writer Kevin Smith's wasted crimefighters "Bluntman & Chronic" for some time. I'm a big fan of his films and especially the characters of "Jay & Silent Bob".

I depicted the characters originally in my normal style but was not satisfied with the result. So I redrew the picture and added some changes to the subject matter to project a more comical scenario. Originally the duo was watching TV in the "Bluntcave" (wasted of course), but after watching "Clerks 2", I decided to go back and make the changes.

Behind our "Doobtastic" duo you will spot a virtual who's-who of superheroes; all of which are enjoying the show that Wonder Woman is putting on for them. See if you can spot these famous crimefighters: Spider-Man, Superman, Batman, Iron Man, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Ant Man, the Thing, Hulk, Daredevil, Captain America, Plastic Man, Dr. Strange, and lastly, the Flaming Carrot.

Needless to say that this was a nightmare to color and shade all characters in this piece but I was much more satisfied with the end result.
