I originally created this piece as a "pin-up" to be featured in Bill Black's AC COMICS.
* My first published work was featured in AC's "FEMFORCE" Magazine.

JUNGLE GIRL was soon to be the Star of her own, however short-lived, comic series.

Her zebra skin outfit posed the particularly difficult challenge of suggesting depth & shape. I had to depict the stripes adhering to the curves of the character, thus distorting the pattern in some areas.

The "Ape-Man" were inspired in part by classic Frank Franzetta monsters.
